I started a diary in the 6th grade. My first diary was a small notepad that I tucked away so secretly I don’t think the sun saw it. The small notepad lasted 6 months with my miniscule handwriting. The next one was a thick semi-hardbound notebook that was our project in our crafts class. The paper I used was typing paper that was really old . My friend’s dad who worked for a printing press, gavw it to us. so to be unique (everyone else was using fine, ultra white, bond paper) we decided to use. It took about 3 years of my life to fill that notebook. Then, blogs surfaced. During those years, blogs weren’t common at all. People that it was just another passing fad. Why would people want to read what you are for dinner? I personally didn’t like the idea of blogging. As a diary keeper, I thought that it was a n intrusion of my privacy. Well, it became more than a fad, more than a trend, it’s mainstream now. Truly our progress in technology and of acceptance of novel ideas is amazing. I told you how to make a mini-network already. And right now, I’ll be running through some of the advantages of making a mini-net of blogs.
1. Easy to put up and to maintain. With the onslaught of WordPress and other means of putting up a blog, it’s such a breeze compared to before.
2. Allows you to occupy subdomains quickly.
3. Easier for you to categorize.
But before you get excited making those supporting blogs for your mainsite, remember the following:
1. Blogs require regularity in maintaining and updating so you have to post new content at least once a day or depending on your schedule.
2. Blogs require regular check up for security reasons.
3. Blogs can limit how your presentation so make sure you do your best to make it look good.
A mini-net of blogs can help you acquire valuable while at the same time boosting your main site. It’s a win-win situation. Just make sure that you keep my reminders in mind. *wink* And for the last rule of threes check out the 3 Easy Steps to Making Mini-nets.
