SEO Project Management

Syndicate Worthy Press Release

I once worked for the marketing communication in a mall and one of my tasks was to make a press release. It involved me being in the event and writing an article about it. Of course it was more of a promotional type since I was writing for the mall. That was the generic definition of a press release back then. And of course, there has been a lot of changes since that time. In relation to SEO, press releases are powerful tools to create awareness and market your site. (more…)

A Few More Reminders

When my high school friends and I got together for the holidays, we swapped tales about the fun times we had. We also talked about our some of our teachers. We all agreed, though that teachers have this penchant to give the most important (most dreaded at times) announcements as an afterthought, and not seemingly a part of their speech. “And oh…by the way… I forgot to announce that we’re gonna have a quiz tomorrow.”We don’t want to do that to you, of course. Before you spread your wings for the flight, we want you to be prepared in all possible aspects of SEO. (more…)

Go Natural

Trainings are hard. As any athlete knows, the demands before getting that much coveted gold medal can be painful. An athlete has to suffer muscle pains, getting up in the wee hours of the morning, having a limited diet and wearing skin tight skimpy clothing. But after sweating through it all, if you are great enough, you get the prize at the end of the race. It’s a natural process. One all, beginner athletes (or those who have rested a long time) has to go through. It’s the same with SEO of course. All high ranking websites started out as beginner athletes. They had to sweat through making quality articles everyday. Stretched their muscles in making good links. Spent long sleepless nights monitoring the traffic. But at the end of the day, they know it’s worth it. But just as all athletes know, they do not rest on their laurels (unless they plan to retire of course). Instead, they consistently undergo the same things, at a greater intensity, with the goal of maintaining their position. It’s a NATURAL process. And natural processes always churn out great results. It’s the same with link building. You have to be natural about it. Natural does not include getting 43,398 links on your first day. A gradual build up of links everyday is more like it. Here are 3 check lists you can use to build links naturally: (more…)

Its Not About Glitz and Glamour

They say that you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover. But as we all can see, it’s the first thing that you see. Personally, I don’t pass judgments by the cover but I express appreciation for creative, neat and nice looking covers.

We’ve talked about the effectiveness of quality articles. We’ve talked about making good links. We’ve also talked about social bookmarking tools. But we shouldn’t forget to talk about the basics. While everyone agrees that design doesn’t matter as crawlers and bots go through your page, your potential clients think differently. More often than not, they will make assess you not just based on the content but also on how your site looks. (more…)

How To Be A Positive Virus

Viruses have been considered a curse to the digital age since the beginning of time. From personal experience I lost 2 gigs of important data on my USB, had a cell phone gone haywire and a friend gone crazy (for a brief period of time) because of its destructive effects. Taken from the medical jargon and defined as a microscopic agent which has the ability to infect almost anything it can come in contact with (think the I Love You Virus almost hacking into Pentagon), it is truly a bane for most. But believe it or not, it can be a boon to your site. If you can infect anything you come in contact with, in a positive manner of course, even a just begun site (after the Sandbox experience of course) can shoot up the search engine ranking. It’s a fairly simple concept, with fairly simple means of doing it.
